News You Should Know: We Had a Few Issues With the SiteToday Posted by Cavgirl on Sunday, June 04 @ 21:49:32 EDT (972 reads) Topic Happenings to the CWDG Online Site
| Yes, folks, we were hacked by some very nice (note the sarcasm) people from Turkey. The hack to our site was relatively harmless, but it was a bit annoying.
Our wonderful web host, Ravenwebhosting.com, figured out the fix for the issue, and sent it along to me. I have taken care of it, and we shall see if it holds.
Please send me a pm if you are having any problems!

The company, originally based in New Haven, CT, and currently owned by Belgium Corporation Herstal Group, has stated it has lost money for the last several years manufacturing the older model rifles and guns. By March, the company plans to only manufacture modern, high-end models, that are manufactured outside the United States.

In the early 19th century, the gray log cabin was home to Josiah Henson, a slave Stowe used as a model for the Uncle Tom character in her novel, a global bestseller that ignited abolitionist fervor in the United States before the Civil War. | Article from NOAA
Aug. 25, 2005 — Conservators from The Mariners' Museum and NOAA scientists were able to debunk a 142-year-old legend with 90-percent confidence this past week after spending most of August documenting and excavating the bore of both 11-inch Dahlgren cannons from the Civil War ironclad USS Monitor's iconic gun turret. One of the most popular legends in the history of the Monitor, it began with a crewmember from the vessel, Francis B. Butts, who claimed during the night the ironclad sank, he shoved his coat and boots in one cannon, and a cat in the other.
